My interest lies in migration policymaking and investigating attraction and retention policies for highly-skilled immigrants. In my research, I also actively look at emigration policymaking within migrant-sending states. I am also interested in studying the political behaviour of transnational ethnic communities, particularly the political participation of the Indian diaspora. I have previously earned my undergraduate degree in Japan in East Asia studies from the University of Tokyo, Japan and have completed a certificate programme on the Global Compact for Migration.
