About

Gabriele (she/her) recently completed a master’s degree in geography (under the guidance of Dr. Geraldine Pratt) at the University of British Columbia, where she researched immigration and sound. Her thesis work with temporary foreign workers in Vancouver explored the intersections of fugitivity, sound, and narrative storytelling as a way of creating different publics and re-imagining political relations. Since 2021, she has been the lead producer for the Centre for Migration Studies’ Global Migration Podcast. Her commitments to public scholarship and unsettling knowledge practices are reflected in each of these endeavours.
