My general interests include food and culinary practice, transnationalism, multiculturalism in Richmond's Chinese diasporic/immigrant communities. My master research will likely focus on the regional foodway of Chinese communities and the diversity of styles in local Chinese restaurants and their targeted customers, in relation to the local their migration history and sociopolitical environment.
