My research is informed by critical theory, transnational feminism and anti-racism and social justice. I engage with multimodal ethnographic research methods and visual methods such as photovoice to bring the voices and experiences of refugee and immigrant youth and women. My interest in migration studies emanates also from my personal journey as an immigrant woman in Canada trying to seek home beyond borders. I engage with public scholarship and I am regularly invited to participate in community events and consultations regarding im/migration, refugee youth belonging and systemic racism.
