About

I am interested in the intersections between education and immigration policy with a focus on the mobility and migration pathways of international students and the role and responsibilities of higher education institutions in their learning, cultural and career transitions. My current work looks at how higher education institutions and their organizations have influenced immigration policy in Canada over the last 25 years and the laws, regulations, and policy instruments used by national and sub-national governments to attract and encourage international students from remaining in-country after completion of their studies and what that means for the nations that receive them.
