Dr. Suzanne Huot is recruiting one MSc and one PhD student to study immigrant employment and lifelong learning in the Rehabilitation Sciences graduate program at UBC.
As part of the Migrant Integration in the Mid-21st Century: Bridging Divides research program, the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia is pleased to offer two generous research fellowships for incoming graduate students.
These funded graduate study opportunities are available for an incoming domestic MSc and PhD student to conduct research under the direction of Dr. Suzanne Huot on topics related to immigrant employment and lifelong learning. Topics include, but are not restricted to:
- Role of advanced digital technologies in immigrant job searching and employment experiences
- Shifting mobilities and spatialities of immigrant employment and lifelong learning
The two students selected will contribute to the Migrant Integration in the Mid-21st Century: Bridging Divides by offering research assistance and will gain access to methods training and collective publication opportunities. They will become members of the Centre for Migration Studies and part of a team of researchers in training and collaborate with leading researchers in immigration studies with national and international connections. These funding opportunities are open to domestic applicants.
