About

My dissertation research examines the socioeconomic integration experiences of refugees in Canada and the United States. I explore a broad range of institutional and organizational settings in Canada and the U.S. such as political and media discourses, local structures, and relations with co-ethnic and host communities and how they affect socioeconomic integration and feelings of belonging among refugees. My study investigates this topic by shedding light to the voices of refugees and their agency and it examines how they navigate their position in these contexts.
