This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Affiliation of Multicultural Societies and Service Agencies of BC (AMSSA).
Through its partnership with AMSSA, the Community Advisory Board members, and working groups, CMS facilitates and supports initial connections between researchers and community organizations, helping create the conditions for meaningful research partnerships.
While CMS supports community-engaged research practices, it is not a dedicated centre for community engagement. The centre does not hire faculty or direct research agendas. These parameters define CMS’s capacity and shape how it responds to external research requests or identified gaps.
