Emilio’s research examines the experiences of immigrants in Metro Vancouver. He focuses on how different legal trajectories shape immigrants’ decisions to pursue legal claims related to workplace rights, housing protections, and efforts to regularize their status.

He also works on mapping community-serving organizations across British Columbia and analyzing how immigration status mediates access to services and support.
