Lynn Weaver is a scholar-practitioner whose global work focuses on migration, gender equity, international human rights, regenerative finance, and cooperative ownership models. Recently based in Nigeria (2024), Lynn served a refugee-led non-profit, supporting initiatives that prioritise the leadership, dignity, and rights of displaced communities. Lynn served as the executive director of an immigrant and refugee serving agency and held a national leadership role with the Canadian Refugee Sponsorship Association.

In addition to serving on the Canadian Association for Refugee and Forced Migration Studies executive committee, Lynn contributes to the IMISCOE Standing Committee on Forced Migration, Women in Refugee Law working group, and the Gender & Environmental Mobilities Group (within the Environmental & Climate Mobilities Network). She is a board director with Vancity Co-Op Credit Union and a scholar of international human rights law.

Lynn underscores her privilege in accessing higher education and positions of decision making, and works to leverage that privilege in ways that build equity, inclusion, and justice for displaced and equity-deserving communities worldwide.
