Robert Straughan is a PhD student in Political Science at the University of British Columbia. Robert received his BA in Political Science from the National University of Singapore and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his MA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia. Prior to graduate school, he worked in management consulting and in the Singapore Civil Service.

Robert studies public opinion and political psychology through a comparative lens. He is especially interested in understanding how ordinary citizens develop attitudes about policies related to immigration and multiculturalism.
