Gabrielle is a Master’s student in the Department of Sociology. Her research focuses on the relationship between city social infrastructure and immigrant belonging and identity.

Her current work explores how second-generation immigrants who choose not to participate in cultural/immigrant organizations understand and practice their cultural identity. She is also currently involved in a project that seeks to understand the mechanisms of diverse network building in community based organizations.
