About

I’m interested in the relationships between native born settlers and immigrants in relation to the party system and the welfare state. My work ranges from survey- and experimentally-based work on civic orientations to multi-country comparative work on immigration and social spending. My current focus is on the recent evolution of the Canadian party system, to which the intersection of geography and identity is critical.
