About
My research engages with issues of migration since it highlights the Rohingya refugee mass migration to neighbouring Bangladesh from Myanmar. It also explains the hardships that Rohingya refugees encounter when migrating, i.e. xenophobia. This factor motivated physical attacks on Rohingya people living in refugee camps in Bangladesh, and online attacks on Rohingya refugees in Malaysia. I also discuss the concerns of Rohingya migration from Bangladesh and Malaysia and how this motivated the respective governments to increase the security of their borders.
