About

My research focuses on the comprehensive process of immigration experienced by Asian women. This includes examining their decision-making, the modes of immigration, family arrangements, experiences of moving and settling, shifts in relationships with significant others, and the process of acculturation. I aim to explore how these women perceive and respond to the challenges and changes associated with immigration. More broadly, my work investigates how the experiences of immigration, exile, and acculturation influence collective memory, trauma, and gender dynamics within Asian communities. My research intersects migration studies and gender studies, with a focus on the lived experiences of marginalized groups.
