About

My research focuses on decolonization of immigrant integration in Canada, while exploring the inclusion of Indigenous and immigrant perspectives into the idea of being “Canadian.” Apart from my academic research and teaching, over the last ten years I have continued to work in various capacities in the community with migrants and newcomers, developing and delivering programs. It is through this blend of my experience that I aspire to hold up the resistance of Indigenous peoples, and amplify the voices, resilience, and strength of the immigrants and refugees.
