About
My research delves into the role of credentials in shaping the social and cultural capital of skilled immigrants in Canada, particularly in Metro Vancouver. I’m exploring how these credentials impact the ability of immigrant project managers to effectively integrate into the Canadian job market, despite the challenges they face in getting their foreign qualifications recognized. By focusing on these barriers and opportunities, my work directly engages with broader migration issues, such as social inclusion and the economic integration of skilled immigrants, and seeks to offer strategies for improving their professional outcomes in a new cultural context.
