About

My research engages with issues of migration by focusing on the mental health, education, and integration experiences of immigrant and refugee populations. I have extensive frontline experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally safe services to individuals impacted by forced migration and systemic barriers. My academic background includes a published research chapter with Routledge on the “War of Ideas,” which explored ideological conflicts between the Western and Eastern worlds. Building on this foundation, I am particularly interested in examining post-migration family dynamics, having observed significant family adjustment challenges among newcomer clients in my work at a settlement non-profit organization. Through this research, I aim to better understand how migration reshapes family structures and relationships over time.
