My research explores the systemic barriers faced by young adult women from refugee backgrounds here in BC. It explores the educational and career aspirations that these women have and examines the challenges they face, through existing educational and workplace policies and practices that may pose as barriers to pursuing these goals. My research also explores the impact that gender has in the pursuit of these goals.
