My research explores the academic transitions of black African immigrant children into the Canadian K-12 school system. While using EDI as framework for my project, the application of Critical Race Theory and African Indigenous knowledge is salient in interrogating existing structures and providing insights for decolonization and education of current and future generations of black African immigrant children in Canada.
