About

I am studying contemporary Francophone texts, namely those of the Prix Goncourt winning-author Mohamed Mbougar Sarr, who create fictional narratives pertaining to migration. I also traveled to Morocco and Spain as part of a research project with UBC’s Global Reporting Program in attempts to better understand shifting migration patterns to Europe, namely through the most dangerous migration route in the world, the Atlantic Route.
