CMS is pleased once again to offer competitive matching funds for SSHRC Connection Grant applications by CMS faculty affiliates based at UBC.
Two $7,000 awards are available in 2024. Eligible projects will focus on migration and mobilities research, involve at least two CMS faculty affiliates, and feature a workshop event for which the CMS matching funds will be used. In addition to funding, successful applicants will receive limited in-kind support from CMS (e.g., budget, event, and/or promotional support).
Deadline Change
SSHRC has changed the August 1 deadline for Connection Grants to June 20. This is a one-time change for the 2024-25 cycle. Going forward, the standard application deadlines will be in place.
To be considered, Workshop Award applicants must submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) via this form by April 22, 2024. Final applications will subsequently be accepted via the website as well.
