I am the author of Paralyses: Literature, Travel and Ethnography in French Modernity (U. Nebraska Press, 2010), winner of a Best in Field award from the Modern Language Association. My newest book, Proximities: Literature, Mobility, and the Politics of Displacement is due out from Liverpool University Press in spring 2025.
